PER SET is made for tables that feel lived in, talked over and remembered. Florals sit beside stripes. Peacock blue meets dusty pink. Butter yellow meets garden sage. Nothing needs to match perfectly. It only needs to feel like you.

Care

These pieces are made to be used. Here is how to keep them looking the way they did on the first day.

Washing

Dishwasher safe on a gentle or eco cycle, at a lower temperature. If you have the time, washing by hand in warm water with a soft cloth is kinder to the painted surface and will keep the colours at full depth for longer.

Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powder and bleach. They will dull the glaze long before they remove anything you actually wanted gone.

Heat

Not for the microwave. Several of the motifs carry metallic pigment, which will spark. Not for the oven or the freezer either, and never take a piece from very hot to very cold in one move. Porcelain dislikes sudden change more than it dislikes heat.

Stacking

Stack like with like, and put a paper napkin or a felt pad between plates if they live stacked for long stretches. The rims are the part that takes the knocks.

Marks and small differences

Every piece is painted by hand, so slight variation in line, colour depth and placement is normal and is not a fault. Faint tool marks in the glaze and tiny differences in size between pieces in the same set come from the same place.

Grey pencil-like marks from cutlery can usually be lifted with a little bicarbonate of soda on a damp cloth.
